EOTC WEEK( Education outside the classroom)

 Hello dear readers  today we  will be doing a 6-8 sentences about our adventure on EOTC week.

On Wednesday we went to the Adrenaline forest, In Adrenaline forest we did an activity. I experienced the zip line and i twas scary because it was so high.   On Thursday we went to the and we played in city playground, Turanga/city library and museum. I Enjoyed out tour in city and my favourite place in city to go is the museum one because i didn't went there before in my life.  On Friday we went on Jellie park and we swim slide in their, Jellie park  is fun with your friend. While we take a rest on the water we played volleyball and the water playground inside on Jellie park.

Kia Ora Everyone! Today in our reading class we are doing a paragraph about freak the mighty.

The author of the book was Rodman Philbrick, Rodman Philbrick is an American writer. He was born in 1951 in Boston, Massachusetts, and lives in Maine and Florida. In this story  I learned a lot of things like the different kinds of words in the story, the word of freaks dictionary.  I chose this novel because for me it was interesting and kind of  sounds  great. My favourite part of this book is when Max gets from his killer dad. The  characters of the story are Maxwell Kane, Gwen Dillon, Loretta Lee, Keven Dillon, Grim, Gram, Iggy Lee.   I would give this a ⅘.

 Hi Everyone! Today the activity we are doing is Lists 4 moves on each apparatus. Below  are the different moves we have been doing in gymnastic:

Trampoline front flip, knee flip, back flip, swivel hips. Floor mat cartwheel, headstand, handstand, log roll.  Mini Trampoline forward roll, backward roll, crash dive, tuck jump. Parallel bars leg lift, forwards and backwards, walk on hands.  Beam Walking backwards, hop, leap,frog jump. Bars Circle up on bar, roll of bar, tuck leg through roll, Hang  off bar with legs hanging up.

 Something new that I have learnt this term is doing other moves on gymnastics like balancing and flipping.

 Hi Everyone! today in our wananga class we did 100 words challenge

 Since I came here in New Zealand I wanted to see a lot of places here like Queens town. This is the place I wanted to go because it is a beautiful place where you can stay for holiday with your family and friends. A lot of people loved to stay  especially Christmas season,

Wonderful sceneries like Gondola, Milford Sound, Lakes and Rivers and other places. Queens town is a place that strikes the perfect place for everyone who loves nature. You can stay in nice hotels with good service and enjoy the malls for shopping. I would also like to try to visit the famous Horror House in the city.

FREAK THE MIGHTY - Week 5

 Kia Ora Everyone! Today in this week in our Reading class we read a new chapter on Freak the Mighty. I will show you the following question.

Question: In Chapter 17 Killer Kane confides in Max (pg. 101-102).How would you describe the emotions he is feeling? Why is he feeling this way?

Answer: He felt sad and scared because of Killer Kane he make something bad to him and he giving him a hard thing to do.

Question: What is the conflict between Killer Kane and Loretta? Who are these characters?

Answer: Killer Kane and Loretta are enemy. Killer Kane is Max's dad and Lorreta is Max relative.

Question: What huge revelation does Max express to his father at the beginning of Chapter 20?  Do you think this is the right time for Max to share this information?  

Answer: Max was scared when Killer Kane tied up Max overnight and trying to kill Loretta like the same as what his father this to his mother in his memories.

 Hi Everyone! Today in our Hurumanu 4 class we made a speech and after finishing it we have to record ourselves and present your work and my topic that i choose is, Gaming should be banned at school.

Do you know that gaming is not allowed during school? Hi my name is Jhonas I will tell you why I agree that gaming should be banned in school.

Do you ever wake up in the morning and see some of your classmates playing games while the teacher is teaching and he or she is not even listening to what the teacher is saying? Do you ever know  the other student playing a game on the phone while morning tea and lunchtime even if the teacher tells us we are not allowed to play in the school?

Gaming is a bad thing to do at school. It's because it can affect your learning, your education and can ruin your reputation at school.  If you keep playing games in  school by not doing the right thing and not listening to the rules you can be sent to referral. The form teacher will send your parents to school and be advised that your child is not following the rules of this school. As students we have  to abide by the rules and policies and most especially following the CARR values. The CARR values are Commitment, Achievement, Resilience and Respect. 

Games are good at home or on the weekend, but you have to manage your time and don't forget that education is still your priority.

One day when a girl woke up she saw a footprint and she was so worried because  someone was trying  to get her car and her partner did not walk through the car . The next day someone  was outside of their house and the guy is looking somewhere if someone is there the that guy break the door of the house and find the key to get the car and after that she hit the guys and fainted after that her the girl l partner arrived  and he saw his friend and the bad guy inside the house and he call the police.

Abstract Art

 Hi Everyone! Today in our Hurumanu 4 class i will tell you what we did. We have to think  some words to make an abstract , It will be a combination of 6 elements of abstract design, lines, texture, shape, form, tones and colours. It looks pleasant and good showing fear, growth and compassion i used warm colours that will catch the attention of people. I created design using different geometric shape that showed in photo 1.In my second work i used different colours showed the monochromatic and primary colours, in the second photo it looks like there are faces at the centre of it.

One day the dog named Joey and his owner went camping in the mountains, when they arrived  he prepared the tent and when it's done he would go and find  food. While walking in the middle of the night the dog followed Fred, his friend and something strange happened, There were creepy sounds going on around the bush and flying creatures above their head. they ran fast to go back to their camp site. They looked tired and thirsty, Fred covered his dog with a blanket and gave him water and food.Then the next day Fred told  the camp leader the incident happened to them and they were given safety precautions.

FREAK the MIGHTY-Answer

 Hi Everyone! Today I will make a summary about Freak the Mighty I pick this book because it was interest to me to read it and the story is good.

Chapter 1 - 4. Summary.

This is about friendship between the two young boy Max and Kevin, they were childhood friends and good  kids. Kenneth, Kenny , David  and Kane were the bad guys who bullied them in the school .Max is a big boy but with kind heart .  Kevin is intelligent boy but physically handicapped they called  him a Freak ,he has grandparents Grim and Gram who were protective and loving. Kevin loves them very much because they were the ones  who took care of him.

Yesterday our  business is not that successful but it's nearly done, we made at least 30 rock and our company name is Aphrodite , In our marketing day we are happy and having fun.Then the marketing start Some people bought our product and they like it even the teacher buy our paint rocks too and we did well by team up,hard work to make a painting rocks and selling it. THE GINGER BREAD MAN

 Hi Everyone! In our reading class we watched a story about the ginger bread man and I will tell you about the story.

A protagonist in the story is people and animal there is trying to catch him because ginger man being rude and the antagonist is ginger bread man because his rude and bully to someone. While his resting ginger saw a fox and that fox said do you want o ride ginger go to fox back and the fox eat him.

The old man and the old lady is shock and surprise when they see the ginger bread man is running and in the beginning the old lady and man are lonely and sad.

Ginger bread man action show us mad because while his running his bullying the animal and his is annoying, rude and bully.

My evidence is the ginger bread man is stubborn and rude.

Hi Everyone! In our reading class we discussed about Stand up a protest of history in New Zealand.

Interesting fact:

What i learned:

I learned about Strikes were a common form of protest last century.
In 1913, a strike by watersiders and the unions or the employers
Thousands joined in, including over seven thousand
workers in Auckland.

Union means: is an organised group of workers that negotiates with employers
for better pay and working conditions

Watersiders means: a person who works on a wharf

Opinion:

on my own opinion  it is good to have some protest if you are doing a the right thing for the good of the community.

Atmosphere

Today in our Science class talk about Atmosphere  and focusing about the planet mercury.
Mercury is the  smallest and least massive of the eight planets. Its low surface gravity makes holding on to an atmosphere in the best of circumstances a challenge.Mercury has the thinnest atmosphere, thinner than even Mars the mercury near to the sun  Mercury hold on to its atmosphere is its magnetic field. While gravity helps hold the gases to the surface, the magnetic filed helps to deflect the solar wind around the planet, much like it does here on Earth. This deflection allows a smaller gravitational pull to hold some form of an atmosphere.the mercury near to the sun

The two reasons Mercury lost most of its atmosphere?
       The mercury near to the sun and it's small that cause the atmosphere blew away.

CAR SHOPPING DLO

Hi Everyone! in our Hurumanu we were tasked to do car Shopping we learned how to find cars and check the cost if it cheap or expensive ,we also considered  the registration, cost of fuel, insurance, and the brand of the car .Our  group decided to picked three cars which we think the best and choose only one. In this activity i learned about  budgeting, selecting cars, the colour, brand , and applying about maths. I worked well with Harmony, Loloma ,and Angus we helped one another to make our presentation successful.

Kia Ora! In our science class we continue our Explanation Writing Assessment and this is my work about navigation .

Do you even know how to navigate stars and other?

Polynesion Navigation space navigation  

The material to find out how to navigate is using a wayfinder and  when travelling on the sea they use  waka kaulua or something bigger than the boat. To find the direction  use the stars constellation and for navigation they use clouds at night so they know how to go  sky and sun will guide them where to go. Destination is that they can go to different islands.

The  Mars rover will be launched on  July 30th 2020 using Rocket  Go to Mars . They use helicopter rovers for searching on Mars.It also contains trace levels of water vapor, oxygen, carbon monoxide, hydrogen and other noble gases.

PETS COST

Kia Ora Kumusta! In our Hurumanu class we did about pets cost I worked with this with my partner Loloma. We tried to  select the most necessary thing needed per animal which we think is important  only. We found out that the most expensive pet is dog it cost $640 and least expensive pet is Guinea pig/rabbit it cost is $193. We discussed  some ways also to meet  animal needs without spending much money.We did not include some items  which it not sensible.

In the middle of the night there’s someone on the mountain watching in the sky and stars. He saw a shooting star and  wished to have a  peaceful life  and one day he saw a girl  in his spot and that girl  was the wish of the guy and he  did not meet her . The following day that guy and the girl attended a party at the same venue where they knew the celebrant, they had time to  spend together and enjoyed the night. They start dating each other and 5 years later they get married and live happily ever after.
