Making Hokey Pokey

 Hi Everyone in our science class Today we we are making a hokey pokey since this is the last science in this  term.In this class i lerned about phscale and chemecals.

Ingredient :

1.2 table spoons golden syrup

2.4 tabelspoons of suger

3. i Heaped tespoon of baking Soada

 4.Pot

5. Tablespoon and teaspoon

6.Bunsen burner.

7. paper cups

methods:

1. put 4 tabelspoon of suger and 2 tablespoon of golden syrup in a saucepan and melt.

2.Bring to the boil and simmer gently for 5 minutes.

3. Add baking soda and stir Viigosously.

4. put the hokey pokey on a piece of grease prove paper to cool.

Explanation:

1. Why do we stir it?

so that it won't burn and melt faster.

2.Explain why the hokey pokey rises and has bubbles?

Because we put bakind soda on it.

 Kia Ora Everyone! in our hur 3 cla we resech about Henry Sunderland I will show you about henry.

Lockdown Artist

1. Henry Sunderland has a twin brother and

2. Henry is a gnomologist, artist and tutor.

3. Edward (Eddy) is the twin of Henry and he died when was in his 40’s

4. Henry has worked as a Children's presenter with TVNZ and has illustrated a number of children's books with his twin brother. 

5. Henry became involved in art education at a secondary level in the late 1980s before joining Ara in 2002.

6. He has been highly successful in influencing community and world leaders

7. After graduating from Wellington Design School he worked as an interior designer for Sydney Hotels . He traveled, becoming a mess cook in Antarctica and then a graphic designer and cartoonist in London.

8. He lived in the city campus Christchurch.

9. Henry has been involved in a number of creative industries and life experiences.

10. They include working as a carpet designer, an artisan in the stain glass and sandblasting industry and a gnome maker.

Drama

 Kia Ora Everyone!  in our drama class we did a freeze frame about the story called: The Maui and the fish tableaus. In this was in a group and my group is shanaya pheonix,sophie,isabella.  In this drama i enjoyed doing the freeze frame games and the actings and I learned about drama is realizing you how to be commiment,achievment recsilience and respect when your doing an activities and being confident of your self.

In this first one we were doing the  bigining when the four brothers talking while maui is listening and when the brother packing for fishing he fastly hid under the waka .  

This second one is  when maui hid under the boat and went out to surprise his brother and his brother were shocked and maui put his blood on the hook and throw it in the oceans because maui has a power and when realze that his hook is stuck uneder water and went to get his hook and there's a big sea monster.

This tird one is when they trying to kil the sea monster and  found an island  the brother turn it into peices and they have an island in there own. a island.

This last one is when we create what will happen in the future and it explains that maui is mad at his brother ans puniish them. This was a flashforward.

Science Expiriment

 Kia Ora Everyone! in our scinec classs we did Experimening on the Ph levels and we  did right.

1. take the test tube rack with 1 boiling tube at each end of the track and 4 test tube.

2. Half fill the the boiling tube at one at one end  with sodium Hydroxide.

3. Half fill the boiling tube at the other end with Hydrochoric acid.

4. Fill each test tube with five drops of  Universal indicator

5.Using the pippettes you will add drops of the acid or alkaline to the test tubes to make colours of red Orange, Yellow,Green,Blue,Violet.

Litmus

Kia Ora Everyone! in our science class we did an expiriment called litmus paper and below is the needed to do the expirement.

Materials: 

1. Red litmus paper

2. Blue litmus paper

3. sodium Hydroxide

4. Hydrochoric acid

5. pipette

6. 4 test tubes

Steps:

1. Rip the paper in half and put half in each test tube.

2. Add 3 drops of hydrochoric acid to the blue litmus paper in test tube 1.

3. Add 3 drops of hydrochoric acid to the red litmus paper in test tube 2

4. Add three drops of sodium Hydroxide  to the blue litmus paper in test tube 3.

5. Add three drops of sodium Hydroxide  to the red litmus paper in test tube 4.

Hi Everyone! i our science class we are disccusing about acid  and red cabbage  experiment and  will tell you about it.

What is an Acids ?

Acids is a liquid that has a ph odf between 1-7 tastes sour and is used in batteries and in our stomachs.

What are the 3 examples of acids?

Lemons - Citric acid..

Vinegar - acetic acid.

Batteries - Sulphuric acid.

Aim: Toe make red cabbage ph indicator for use on different household chemicals.

Red Cabbage indicator Expiriment

Materials:

1. Red cabbage

2. Beaker

3. Bunsen burner

4. Pippete

5. sodium hydroxide

6. Hydrochoric acid

7. Test tube

8. Paper towel

9. Test tube rack

10. Water

 vinegar = pH 6.

 dishwashing powder = ph 12

.toilet cleaner = pH 11

Sherbet

 Hi  Everyone! in science class we are starting to discuss about sherbet and ten thing  baking soda do.

Baking soda is also known as sodium bicarbonate. Due to it abravis and cleaning properties it is used as rasing ange nt in baking as household cleaner and in a number of other  ways.

1. Scrub away marks on your walls.

2 Under arm deoderant.

3 Clean and unclog smelly sinks.

4 Clean your tiles.

5 Deodorise your kitty litter tray.

6 Clean your oven.

7 Wash build up out of your hair.

8 Deodorise you carpets.

9 Help wash clother

We need to write down our equipment and the step we will go through to make  our sherbet.

Once we have completed the materials and steps we can make  sherbet.

While you are eating your sherbet you can answer the 5 question at the end

Sherbet Recipe: 

1 teaspoon of powdered drink crystal

1/4 teaspoon if citric acide

iteaspoon of icing suger

1/4 teaspoon baking soda
